The Wrappings Of Winter
February 16, 2010 * * * * * Posted by:
Puna
I dare to wear
the wrappings of winter
in frosty accouterments
of ice and crystal
the shortness of the day
give way to shimmer
and find a
sparkled pathway
to which I give
my coat a snuggle
the warmth of fur
to know I live
the life I desire
the air I breath
sustains my soul
through the wrappings of winter

This is so beautiful and a wonderful reminder to appreciate this amazing season which so often hides her beauty from us, or perhaps we hide from her beauty, the cold and weak light scaring us away.
The wrappings of winter...love the imagery you've created, Puna.
