Calling All Others

Announcements,
Marcie
We are of a ‘certain age’. Once girls of the 1950's and 60's..now women in a whole new day.
We span the globe from Tanzania thru the Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, and the UK. We stretch across North America - from the east coast thru the west..from Canada and the U.S.A. We are a collaboration of creative like-minded souls who seek to express ourselves thru both word and image.
We are married and single. We are mothers..and we are not. We are straight and we are gay. We can be found in the city..and in the country. We are in the prime of our young lives. With experience on one side of the door, and possibility on the other - we are boldly walking thru and into this brave new world that has been offered to us. It is ours. We are stretching and growing and becoming. Together..we are a community.
In person, we've never met. It was right here through this great worldwide web of connection that we have found one another..that we've discovered our voices and new friends. We are - quite simply - a group of extraordinarily ordinary women of 'this age'.
Today we are taking a break from our usual rounds of postings..looking outwards and beyond our bounds, calling on others who might want to contribute a guest post to this collaborative blog.
If you are interested (and of 'this age') in adding your voice and your vision to this group..we'd love to hear from you. Contact us with a thought..an idea..a whole post. We're opening our hearts and our doors to all of you out there who may be willing to be our guests.

superb photo
What a perfect image for this post, Marcie! It makes me smile. :) On this Sunday I'm reminded of all the sermons I've heard about the sower who threw out the seed wherever it would fall, on thorny, weedy, rocky, or fertile ground. I'd like to believe your "call" will fall somewhere on the exact fertile soil that will spring up for us some beautiful new "women of a certain age."
If I wasn't already here, I would be want to be here.
Wonderful image, Marcie! I'm so glad to be aboard! Can't wait to see new ladies joining!
karibu sana, welcome welcome...and puna's comment says it all :)
Echoing Puna. Have posted on facebook.
Love that photo! We live near a swamp and always have blue herons around, none yet this year, but they will be coming soon. They are so amazing, so prehistoric...
And I am so excited to be on the schedule as a guest blogger....now I just have to decide what to write!
This is a great image, captured at just the right second. The bird seems almost to be wearing a ballcap. That swampy area doesn't look fun to walk around in, but makes for a beautiful scene!
Hi Marcie,
After spending a while on this website, reading away, I am o happy to be able to say that I will write a guest blog for this brilliant site. I so love the concept, and the stories I have read so far!! I would feel at home here definitely!!
Cheers from Ireland

Wonderful image Marcie. I have written to a few lady friends about the announcement. Haven't heard back from them yet though.
I'm so proud to be a part of this :-)
Great photo. Kind of a squawker, hmm?
Thank you for inviting others to join your Vision and Verb. Ken did a wonderful job. Farmergal
Love the picture. I look forward to seeing my first Great Blue each year. They are fascinating.
Love the photo. Love the site. Love the ladies that write!!
the image is a PERFECT fit!! made me smile at 7:00 AM and that is not easy!
I would... but words are few from me...
i love the expression "extraordinarily ordinary women of this age..." the brain's not functioning much in language mode at the minute, but i would love to perhaps participate at some point...
Hi! This images goes well with the amazing post. Love the determination!
As Puna said, "If I wasn’t already here, I would be want to be here."
And, ELK....your few words are eloquent and thought provoking!
