Cherry - Shropshire, UK
When I was about ten years old, I received my first camera as a Christmas present. It was a Polaroid and I loved the fact that the pictures were instant. I have had various cameras over the years, but I didn’t experiment much when I was using film due the expense. When I got my first digital camera in 2006, along with it came the opportunity to experiment to my heart’s content.
I always have my camera with me when I go out and can be seen snapping away. Until recently, I have been using the Canon A series of compact cameras due to the fact that they were small enough to carry around in my handbag. To celebrate becoming a lady of a certain age last November, I decided to treat myself to an upgrade and fell in love with the Panasonic Lumix G2, with which I am having a lot of fun experimenting.
In addition to photography I have many other interests including history, gardens, science and nature, archaeology, heritage, holidays, visiting National Trust properties, reading and last but not least, exploring new ideas. I like to get out and about, visiting new and interesting places, meeting new people and spending time with friends and family. You can find me blogging about many of these things over at Cherie’s Place.
I am honoured to be here at Vision and Verb amongst so many talented collaborators.
