Jozica Rade - Medvode, Slovenia
Hello everybody! Greetings from Slovenia and from my creative corner called Creatissimo Lab! That's where all my ideas pop up and that's where I play with images and words…
Vision? Count me in!
I don't talk a lot. Ask me anything and I'll say it with pictures, not words. Either I will draw the answer, paint, take a picture with my digital camera or mix all that together. I'll do that in a minute, two or more, but if you're waiting for some words, well, then you'll have to wait a bit longer. Let's say… a day or two ;).
Images are my inspiration. Either I make them or somebody else; I find 101 excuses to make another one. I was probably born with the camera… if not in reality, it was there in my mind all the time. I am an observer and my camera is just my third eye. I can't live without it anymore. And I won't. Just recently I discovered Phototherapy (counseling with a use of images and digital cameras) and that's where my path is heading. From working as an art teacher in schools, from government work where I had interviews with victims of crime, from post-graduate studying of Art Therapy, it's Phototherapy that stole my heart. My plans are to use Phototherapy and Art Therapy Techniques to work with people in need, esp. victims of crime and children. A big project, I know, but this is an inner call which I can't ignore.
Verb? It's there, born from the pictures I make. My words would come out from the pictures I take. Pictures have stories which reveal themselves later, whenever they feel like it. They'd tell about the moods, secrets or would spill out one word only. I love them all! I like to play with them, I like experimenting and visualizing them the way I want.
Creatissimo is the word I came up with to encourage everybody to create. It means something like ‘Let’s create!’ I wanted the word to give us the energy and power for creative process and divergent thinking.
Creative process can be fun! Either I work with children or adults, I enjoy it very much. People have been my inspiration always (a few tiny books were written and illustrated by me because of them), but I am totally in love with nature as well. All the little details that we can find every day make me excited, happy and so glad that I’m alive!
I’m looking forward to share my visions and verbs with you on this blog, and am very happy to be part of this wonderful mosaic of women (of certain age)…
